About Me

He was born in Skopje, Macedonia.

He graduated from Bilkent University, Faculty of Business Administration. He graduated with full academic merit scholarship.

He received scholarship for "Central and Eastern European Leaders Of The Future" from Case Western Reserve University, where he received his MBA from Weatherhead School of Management.

He joined Grey Istanbul as agency’s Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Grey Group Worldwide’s global strategy council member.

He left Grey and formed FutureBright and Behavioral Institute. Today both of his companies are among the fastest growing companies in Turkey. The companies have expanded to Dubai in 2019.

His companies have reached a portfolio of over 300 brands (%80 of the portfolio consists of global brands). Akan Abdula consults over 30 brands personally.

He was a member of Advertising Self-Regulatory Board for long years.

After he instructed "How The Brain Decides" course at Bahçeşehir University for couple of semesters, he joined Bilgi University, where he is currently teaching on Consumer Behaviour.

He is a TED and Intel TechTALKS speaker .

He is a often Keynote Speaker at top notch Universities. He is often interviewed by magazines and TV programs.

He is founder of www.makturk.com . Today Makturk has millions of visitors.

He speaks English, French and most of the Balkanian languages.

He is "newly" married with Başak Abdula since 2007. He is Aylin & Nil's father.
